Responsible for one in seven deaths each year, lung disease affects more than 35 million Americans. Americans are living with chronic lung diseases such as asthma, emphysema and chronic bronchitis. To prevent, protect and control the lung diseases that affect an ever-increasing number of people, the American Lung Association of the Central States is committed to educating the public on these diseases in hopes of improving their quality of life.
